Customer Review: Good product but title is misleading

Update as of January 2009: After using it for little over 2 months the unit not only leaked, it lost ALL water at once, soaking my new hardwood floor. Not only that, Duracraft almost doubled the price since I bought it. I will not even bother to claim warranty, I am sure they will find "something" to avoid a replacement. Now I am searching for another brand, and definitely one that has a larger tank and does not mislead customers by describing it with 2,5 gallons when in fact it holds only 0,7. Sorry that I could not take away all 3 stars I gave it earlier.
I recently bought this humidifier and so far it works well. The reason why I gave it only 3 instead of more stars is that the title "2-1/2-Gallon Warm Mist Humidifier" is misleading. The container holds about 2,5 LITERS which is about 0,7 GALLONS. On the package it says that the "Output" is 2,5 gallons but this is nowhere mentioned in the description.
Overall, I like it, my bedroom feels so much more comfortable, and I run it in the living room too during daytime. If you buy it, be prepared that on high output it will not last a day or night, but if you set it to low in your bedroom it will last through the night.

We have owned this humidifier for more than a year now and this is our second winter. It is working just fine for us. We can fill it up once a night and then let it run for on high speed -- The water is finished by the end of the day and we think that that is enough moisture for our daughters' room. Cleaning the heating element and the other things in the humidifier also does not take that much effort. A little vinegar does the trick easily. Given the price, I think that this is a great buy. Would recommend it to every one on a tight budget.Customer Review: Good value product

Happy with product overall. We decided to go with a warm humidifier for cleanliness and because we only use it in winter. This one makes some gurgling noises as the water drains down into the machine, which doesn't bother me, but might bother you if you are a light sleeper. This humidifier works well and is a good value for the price. It has two settings to control the output of moisture entering your child's room. The water tank is easy to remove and fill. The entire unit is easy to disassemble for cleaning purposes, which are required about once a week. This unit has no messy filters to replace, just wipe it down with a little vinegar and you are done. I would recommend this humidifier to a friend.Customer Review: Good, basic humidifier

This is my third warm mist humidifier. They just don't last very long. The cool mist ones don't seem to make the room more humid. The last one I had (which looked similar to this) lasted two years, and the rubber stopper part at the bottom dried up during the summer (when it was not in use) and cracked. My first one only last one year. I am resigned to the fact that I will likely have to buy a humidifier every 1-2 years, so I'd better not spend a lot for them. This one works well, and on the low setting, can last 10-11 hours. This setting is enough for my medium sized room. On high output, it goes through the water very quickly, and if your room is small, will feel tropical. The one thing I don't like about this one is that after putting the dial on the desired setting, you still have to push a "start" button to make it start putting out mist.
