Duracraft DY-012 Oscillating 3-Speed Tower Fan gets five stars from me. I needed to gently stir the air and placed two of the fans just beside the floor registers to broadcast the airconditioned breeze throughout the room a little better. Fan is slim, easy to use/assemble. Oscillation feature really helps keep air moving. Very quiet. I use for exercise room in basement and need to keep on the highest setting to keep air cool once I am into the workout and really moving around. This fan has turned out to be much more durable than I expected.
It was on for about 300 days each year (in nyc, the apts are always hot) and it finally broke down 2.5 years later.
My dog has ran it over numerous times and it has a lot of dust inside.
Ordering my second one today!

I was skeptical when ordering this fan as it had such mixed reviews. I wanted an oscillating tower for my nursery. I was so pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is and produces so much air! And really cool air, almost as good as an air conditioner. I found it extremely easy to put together, about 5 minutes, and I was fortunate enough to receive the screws (where some reviews stated they were missing). And bonus, what a fantastic price! I LIKED THIS FAN SO MUCH THAT I HAVE FIVE OF THEM. I HAVE ONE IN MY OFFICE, TWO AT MY LAKE CABIN AND TWO AT HOME. WELL WORTH THE MONEY AND VERY QUIET. TO ASSEMBLE, YOU ONLY NEED TO SCREW IN THREE SCREWS.
