Tools and Hardware Reviews of EUREKA MINI BOSS UPRIGHT VAC 442ACustomer Review: Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered this for my daughter and she loves it. It works great
and the handle folds down for smaller storage - great for
small living quarters.
Customer Review: Bought as a gift, my mother loves it! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this vaccum as a gift for my mother who didn't have one. She loves it and likes the fact is it bagless. She said that the first couple of times she used it it was full quickly, but now after using it several times she says it must have pulled all of the dirt out of her carpet because she rarely needs to empty it. Great value for the price!
Customer Review: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY Summary: 1 Stars
I bought two of these weaklings in 2007 for light jobs on hardwood floors. One for me and one for an elderly parent. After failing to preform the smallest jobs, they were stuffed into the back of a closet until recently. I am good in the workshop and can fix most anything and make it work. The problem with these vacuums is that the motors are terribly weak. The brushes scatter whatever they hit without picking it up. I have taken them apart and isolated the air flow around the motors. Even though the motors sound like jet engines in a bathroom, they have barely enough suction to hold a sheet of toilet paper without dropping it. I removed the brushes, brush motors and belts and stopped up the holes in each end of the brush holders and reassembled them, leaving only the suction motors. No help. Even by lowering the vacuum heads as close to the floor as possible, they will pick up cat hair and lint, that's all.
The best thing about these vacuums is the ease of cleaning the filters. That's why I bought them in the first place. On most bagless vacuums, I have to blow out the filter with a compressed air at 90PSI to get them clean. The Mini Boss filters would be easy to clean if I was lucky enough to ever get anything on them. These units are nothing more than two bulky and heavy Swiffer dusters that use electricity, cost ten times the price and do not preform nearly as well.
Customer Review: Fabulous if you have a Husky Summary: 5 Stars
We live with a Siberian Husky, those who have it will know what it is like, period! We do have Central Vacuum system, and once a week a cleaning service does a good job. But, the life between the two services was too hairy all over the house and carpets.
I used different up-right types (one without power roller), but it was cumbersome and not so satisfactory. I brought this Eureka SuperLite Bagless, on first go it picked up tank full of hair, from seemingly OK floor and carpet. I love its lightweight, powerful suction, and power brush head, and cost is real bargain. Even if it works for a year or more, I will repeat it again. I recomment it to all pet lovers, specially husky types.
The power brush is really good on carpets as well as on bare floor, since Husky hair are long and stiff, they need brush to be picked up.
Customer Review: Good for touch ups and light jobs Summary: 4 Stars
So far so good - Since getting mine about a month ago, I've used it several times for quick pickups, and it gets the job done.
