Tools and Hardware Reviews of Electrically Conductive Wire Glue Bonds

Customer Review: Doesn't work at all
Summary: 1 Stars

We've tried to get this product to work many times.

First failure:
We've stirred it, put it on two clean metal contacts, waited for it to dry, then connected the battery and found zero function.

Second failure:
It was stirred, and a drop of it was allowed to dry on a clean negative end of an AA battery. When the voltmeter was connected through the drop, we got zero voltage, ZERO. When the voltmeter contacted any other part of the battery end, I got around 1.4 volts.

Third failure:
Frustrated, we just stuck multimeter leads into the tub, and got "error". The resistance was so high the multimeter couldn't read it. (I know, it would probably work better dry, but we tried this anyways.)

Save your money on a different product. Get something that actually works as an adhesive while you're at it.

Customer Review: Don't waste your money
Summary: 1 Stars

A connection came loose on the rear window defroster on my car. I soldered it a couple times but it's in such an awkward position, I couldn't get enough solder on it to hold for any length of time.
I thought if this Wire Glue worked as advertised, it would be just the thing. I followed directions to the letter but had a hard time getting it to hold. It finally set with a piece of tape holding the glued connection in place. After 24 hours I removed the tape and the connection held but when I turned the defroster on, the connection arced. It's still holding but just enough to cause electrical interference in my stereo. The defroster won't work. I guess I'll have to take it loose and get the soldering gun back out. Don't waste your money on this stuff.

Customer Review: Excellent Product
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an excellent product for people like me who cannot solder to save their lives. I used it to change a backup battery in a very old gameboy cartridge. I highly recommend it.
Just mix it thoroughly and use a toothpick for dabbing it in little areas and let it dry for at least 12 hours before you finish or do more gluing.

Customer Review: Excellent Resistance
Summary: 1 Stars

Bought this to bridge some cut tracks on a potentiometer. Seemed to work great, once I had thought of using a thin strand of wire to apply it, however it is far to resistive, measuring 15kohm over a a few mm. This will alter the value of the pot, rendering it useless. If it wasn't for that it would have been perfect, looks like it's back too the super conductive silver paint. And as others have said, Glue???????? Hmmm... not quite

Don't really see what I could ever use it for!!

Customer Review: Glue??
Summary: 1 Stars

It's hard to understand how this product could ever be called glue. There is simply no adhesion quality to it at all. The instructions even call for the use of Super Glue over the top of the joint to seal the bond. I would not recommend purchasing this product.
