Tools and Hardware Reviews of Electrolux Cordless Quick-Up CleanCustomer Review: Great buy! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this vacuum because of the price and high reviews. I've loved it so far! It took all of 2 minutes to put together and has been so much more than I expected. I got this vacuum to clean up my duplex every week. It works wonderfully on hardwood floors and where I have small area rugs. I had a Swivel Sweeper before but it began scratching my floors and the battery finally started going after a few years of use. I like being able to switch between floor and carpet on the Eureka and it has much more power than I thought it would. I'm mostly dealing with leaves this time of year and you do need to go over bigger things on your floor a few times to capture them. The vacuum's a great size for getting rooms done but also for tight spots or stairs; it's the perfect size between a stick vacuum and a heavy-duty vacuum. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a vacuum for light to medium cleaning.
Customer Review: Great for Area Rugs Summary: 4 Stars
It's a cinch to vacuum area rugs. On wood floors it doesn't work quite as well. All in all, it's featherweight makes it easy to use.
Customer Review: Great for Bare Floors & Quick Clean Ups Summary: 5 Stars
I have 3 of these and bought one for my sister. These are great because they have a roller bar that picks up so much more than just suction. I use these all over my house on bare floors and are handy for quick carpet once overs in between regular vacuuming. I even have one I use only in the garage and it's great for keeping dirt from tracking in. I can't say enough good things about this working champ. My oldest one I have had for 10+ years and still works like new.
Customer Review: Great for bare floors and touching up carpets Summary: 5 Stars
The Eureka Quick Up is a great addition to my cleaning arsenal. It should NOT be used as a primary vacuum for carpets. It is not designed for that, but it is great for in between cleanings and for bare floors. As other reviewers have mentioned, it does have a problem with pet food, even smaller pieces of cat food, but they are big enough to pick up by hand or to sweep up. On carpets, it has no problem with cat hair, kitty litter, crumbs, etc. Be careful with longer human hair or strings, because the brush rotates, it will get caught up in it, just like your regular vacuum. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this vacuum. I can run this over my bare floors before I mop to pick up debris and hair. It fits under and around most furniture and cabinets with ease. If you are looking for a primary vacuum for your carpeted house, this is not what you want. If you have mainly bare floors or you want a secondary vacuum for quick clean ups, buy this one. I have not had a problem with the battery running out on me, but I just moved from a mostly carpeted house (and didn't use this on carpets much) to a 90% hard surface house, so I am buying a spare battery just in case. The charger can hold 2 batteries at the same time, and you can leave them on the charger.
Customer Review: Great for fast clean-ups Summary: 5 Stars
Great product ,have owned for 3 years. This is not the best tool for cleaning out carpets, but for hard floors you can't beat the quick clean-ups, and where this product really shines is when you disconnect the handle and use it with the beater brush on and use it to clean sofas, bedspreads etc. We have three dogs(short hair) and you wouldn't believe all the dander, dead skin, hair, dust you name it that this gets off your furniture.I know it because I start with a clean filter and check after. After a week I'll clean out the filter with the big up-right. Battery life is good for about 10 minutes at a crack which is long enough for most jobs till you recharge--- recommend spare battery that the charger accommodates. Couldn't live with out it!
