Tools and Hardware Reviews of Electrolux Cordless Quick-Up CleanCustomer Review: A sad excuse for a cordless vacuum Summary: 1 Stars
The Eureka cordless vacuum is very poorly designed. Emptying the dust/dirt holder is not easy and can't be done without a lot of direct contact with the contents. The size of the vacuuming nozzle is too small. The battery charging cradle does not keep adequate contact with the extra battery. The entire unit is cumbersome and not user-friendly.
Customer Review: A+ Dust Buster Summary: 5 Stars
Good for quick clean ups, I purchased mine for the quick pick ups of dust bunnies and pet hair, I have wood floors and dust bunnies seem to pop up frequently and all I have to do is grab my Quick Up and go! I do recommend it!
Customer Review: Actually makes me forget that I hate vacuuming Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the Quick Up based on reviews from Amazon. It is just as advertised. It's so light and easy without the cord. All the crumbs and debris from our dog and 5 year old>>gone in a flash. This machine actually makes me forget that I hate vacuuming. It's a buy.
Customer Review: Almost Perfect for Our Needs Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using my Eureka Cordless QuickUp daily for 3 months now and it continues to do an outstanding job of light maintenance vacuuming in our 2-person, 1-cat, 2-pellet-stove household. I almost never use a dust mop or broom on the hard floors anymore and vacuum rugs with the big vacuum only once a month, or less.
PROS: Works great for picking up tracked kitty litter, pellet-stove dust, and tracked sidewalk snow melt grains. Very light-weight - easy to lift and manipulate to do both floors and upholstery. Rotating brush works great for loose cat hair.
CONS: Battery lasts just long enough to go through the (5 rooms, 2 baths) house quickly, hitting problem spots and traffic areas - must recharge again for any extra cleaning. Every-other-day cleaning the reusable dust filter would be difficult if I couldn't easily step to the door and whisk-broom it outdoors. It is not powerful enough to do heavy cleaning or pull cat hair off sticky fabric surfaces, so it would not be suitable for an "only vacuum."
Customer Review: Annoying and Unreliable Summary: 1 Stars
We bought this to use on the wool area rugs in our living room and dining room as well as to use as a sweeper on the wood floors. It stinks! The trade-off for the cordless feature is that the battery quickly loses power, resulting in a lot less suction and stuff left all over the floor. And you're not supposed to leave the battery on the charger or or it kills the battery life, so at times I have tried to do a quick vacuum before company and couldn't because the thing was almost dead. At best, a fully charged battery lasts me long enough to vacuum my 8x10 carpet in my living room and my 9x12 carpet in my dining room, at which point it's already flagging too much to pick anything up.
ALSO, the chamber fills up really quickly, and I have to empty it about 3-4 times PER ROOM--constantly stopping to go over to the pail to open up the canister and pick dust and fuzzies out of the chamber and roller with my fingers because they wouldn't empty by dumping and shaking. The dust gets everywhere when you empty it, which stinks for someone like me who has allergies. Having to stop so often to do this disgusting maintenance makes vacuuming an irritating chore.
If you're looking to get some exercise while you push dust and debris around on your floors, buy this piece of junk.
