Tools and Hardware Reviews of Electrolux Cordless Quick-Up CleanCustomer Review: Dependable Helper Summary: 5 Stars
I bought my 1st of 3 Eureka Quick Up Vacuums about 6 years ago and can't imagine cleaning my home without one!! I currently own 2 so I can have one handy in both areas of our home. They make a great gift for anyone. They work great on wood and tile, and are good for quick carpet cleanups.
Customer Review: Disappointed Summary: 2 Stars
I have a 3 and 4 year old who are constantly dropping food on the dining room laminate floor. I wanted something that would pick up rice, cereal, etc from the floor. I am obsessed with researching things on Amazon before I buy them and this is the best rated cordless vac that I found, so I bought it. However, I have owned it for about 6 months and am just plain disappointed. It's suction is pathetic (maybe a 10th of my corded vacuum). It will pick up most things smaller and lighter than a grain of rice pretty well, but anything bigger it won't pick up consistently (I find myself going back and forth over things 4 or 5 times and often just reach down to pick it up in frustration). I just came from a friend's house that had a Shark brand cordless sweeper and it did an amazing job. If I had it to do over, I would pay a little more and buy that one.
Customer Review: Do NOT Recommend Summary: 2 Stars
I've had this for about 6 months now. I would NOT recommend it - I'm sure there are better ones out there.
Power - Picks up pet hair fine, does not pick up leaves. You must run it in carpet mode, even on bare floors, or the brush will get loaded up with what you're vacuuming and stop picking up stuff until the brush is cleaned.
Noise - loud enough to where you won't be having a conversation while vacuuming. I don't care about decibel levels - either you can talk to someone without yelling or not. With this vacuum, you cannot. I really don't care about the noise, I'm not looking for a conversation while vacuuming anyway, but this one is fairly loud.
Number 1 Complaint - the dust cup. This is the kind where you take off the cup, then pull out the fabric filter which is approximately the size of the entire dust cup, then dump the cup in the trash and scrape off all the hair and dirt caught on the filter. All this time the dust and dirt you've just vacuumed up is going all over the place. For this reason alone I would not buy this vacuum, and will be shopping for a different one. I have a Black&Decker hand-held DustBuster that has a much smaller filter element so doesn't have the same problem. I may look to them for their upright models, or anyone that doesn't have this ridiculous dust cup design.
Customer Review: Does a great job Summary: 5 Stars
I've only had the "Quick-Up" for a few weeks so I can't address longevity, but each time I use it I am astonished at the quantity of lint and dirt it picks up. I do find it messy to empty, but it is well worth the money.
Customer Review: Does not pick up! Summary: 1 Stars
I was very disappointed in this product.
We have had 2 Sharks and liked them, but since this had such great reviews, I thought I would switch.
The Eureka Quick-Up will not pick up cereal! Basic Cheerios sized bits. The head is small and the on/off switch is low. Every time I put it in the cabinet the "plunk" leaves a large pile of debris on the floor. In addition, the head is not flat so it will not free stand, it must be leaning against something.
If this was my first experience with a quick vac, I would never purchase another.
