I wanted a strong Vac that is why I choose the canister electrolux. Is very light weight and not very loud. It does seem to shut down while using it. The attachments are ok could be better. While moving around the canister gets stuck on the cord. I wish I had tryed it out in a store first even thou it has so so power it won't pick up the carpet pile very well. I had inhouse Vac for years then moved and new house wasn't plumbed for in house and was forced to buy Vac. I will be buying another Vac but upright this time less worries of pulling a canister behind me I still give it a 3 star but will have to give it a 0 for ease of using around house.Customer Review: Buy Miele, as you get what you pay for!!!!!

Check for Warranty Repair Locations at the website prior to purchase... Our machine worked well given the positive Consumer Reports rating and low price for 6.5 months. After that time, it failed to turn on. The only repair location was a UPS trip away and it had to be fixed out of warranty, which means out of pocket. Electrolux Customer Service is abysmal! After calling and checking the website for repair locations and finding none within reasonable range, I proceeded to send an email to request a perhaps unknown site. They responded 1 week later without detail and simply suggested I consult the website for alternatives. By that time the machine had already been fixed, without their help, out of warranty, and for 25% of purchase price. The entire circuit board needed to be replaced, which I have found to be a common problem and no easy task to fix at home. Steer clear of this machine if you dont want hidden costs associated with sudden failure and inept and nonexistent customer service. We miss our pricey, but oh so reliable, Miele that was worth every penny! A vacuum should last more than 6.5 months!Customer Review: Buy this vacuum

If you're looking for a multi purpose vacuum cleaner your search is over. The only thing which could possibly do a better job of eliminating dust and allergens in the household is a whole house vacuum which exhausts to the outside. I've now purchased two Ovygen2 vacuums for two houses. Stop looking. Buy this vacuum. (Unless of course you're considering installing a whole house vacuum) The subscription service for bags and filters on the Electrolux site is nice too.Customer Review: Cannot Recommend

I used this vacuum for the first time today and was fairly pleased with it until I broke it while trying to put it away.
Update: Electrolux sent me a new power head attachment free of charge. That one broke too. It is unacceptable for a $300-$400 vacuum to be so flimsy. This vacuum is cheaply made and should have a price that reflects that.

I have several indoor cats. The vacuum is nice and quiet and doesn't scare them like other vacuums do. However, suction is a bit light and you have to go over a spot several times to pick up everything. The power-head gets jammed with cat hair around the ends of the brush rollers in a very short time and is nearly impossible to clean out. The vacuum is sturdy, but the attachments are cheap and fragile. The bags and filters are easy to change. Overall, it's a very good vacuum, but the poor attachment quality and light suction are soundly defeated by cats. If you deal with pet hair, get a Dirt Devil bag-less upright (at least 12-amp), and a Eureka Power Paw attachment for furniture.
