I was very impressed with how this vacuum cleaned my wood floors and rug. However the swivel head can make it difficult to clean where you want it to. Also when we removed the power head to use the other attachments there is a piece that breaks easily. When we brought it to the repair shop to be fixed they had 4 other Electrolux's there with the same problem. Poor design on the manufacturers part. However as I said before, I was impressed on how it cleaned.Customer Review: Good as New

This vac is super quiet, has great mobility and is a quality machine. Only draw back is the "telescoping" wand, which is more trouble than its worth. The pluses are the extra long hose, the easily retracted cord, the wand push button controls and it weighs practically nothing. It works great on hardwood floors (wheels are cushioned to avoid scratches) and carpet, perfect for anyone that suffers from indoor allergies.Customer Review: Good performance but lousy durability

I bought two of these (one for my apartment and one for a weekend house) and was initially very happy with their performance: good suction, good edge cleaning, fairly quiet, handy retractable cord. But after less than two years of use, the assembly connecting the power nozzle to the wand has completely disintegrated on one of them. The buggy Electrolux website is no help in finding parts, and I can't locate a replacement for the assembly anywhere else online or locally. These things are clearly designed to be disposable. Sorry: the price is way too high for a disposable item.
EDIT: Just weeks after one of the two died, the other one died as well. The powerhead on the second one has simply stopped working at all, with the result that the suction is now quite weak, despite extensive tinkering to try to remedy the problem. I'm now doubly sure these things are disposable garbage.

The suction on the vac is great, but the quality is not up to the usual Electrolux quality that I've come to expect over the years. Something snapped after a couple of months of use and the handle will no longer stand upright. This is a real inconvenience; and I'm sure way too expensive to have to ship it back for repair.
