Customer Review: Best Vacuum Ever.

I have hardwood floors and a few large area rugs.....and cats. I have two rugs whose main colors are black and white. My last vacuum left a layer of cat hair on the rugs that made them look dirty even after vacuuming. The first day I used this vacuum I was instantly hooked. My rugs went back to black and looked clean and new again. I didn't think they'd ever look that nice again.
The vacuum is heavy, but it's worth it. It's suction power is still VERY powerful even after 6 months of daily use. I got this vacuum around Christmas time after doing all my research and reading a ton of reviews and weighing the pros and cons.
I waited 6 months before writing the review just to see if anything came up. Six months into it and I still love it.
There are two issues that you should know about though: the lever that makes it recline is tough to depress. You really have to give it some weight to get it to release. The other thing is that the lever that switches it from carpet to hardwood floors is also very difficult to depress. I actually had to email their customer service to figure that out because I thought it was faulty. Turns out you just have to be rough with it and MAKE it click. After the first few tough clicks it works fine.
Those are the only two drawbacks, and they're not even really drawbacks-more of FYIs.
It has really helped me keep the place clean. I love it. I would buy it again and again if I had to.
You will not be sorry you bought this vacuum, ESPECIALLY if you have pets!

This Eureka Boss is the best vacuum I've ever had, and vacuums are not something I get excited about. I previously owned a Hoover upright which died after 5 years of below normal use. I'll never have another Hoover. It didn't clean worth a hoot. The Eureka cleans like I've never seen before in a home vacuum. I swear my carpet looked cleaner after just one cleaning than it has since it was new. The vacuum cleans wonderful, has a nice long cord, is easy to use once you read the directions. Using the hose & attachments is easy & boy, does it have great suction! Putting it together was the most challenging part--getting all the tools where they belong. Also the handle has to be attached, but that was easy. Noise? Yes, it's loud like most vacuums, but it is not an irritating noise. It's almost like a muffled humming sound. I think a baby would go to sleep with it. I like the way the brush stops when in an upright position while motor is running. It won't scrub the carpet to shreds. Since it does weigh about 25 lbs, it gives my arm good strengthing exercise - an untended bonus, I'm sure. The vacuum manuvers well. I don't have stairs, but I don't think it would be great to do stairs with simply because of the weight. But that's just an opinion. Great buy on Amazon. Didn't find it cheaper any place else. And get the credit card discount! Great deal. Also, I had to wait about 5 weeks to get it--must have been out of stock, however, it was worth the wait.Customer Review: Best vacuum I ever owned

I did not expect to have this vaccum be as great as it is. I have had one other upright and hated it. I always thought that an upright could not compete with a canister. This vacuum is the best. I carefully researched this vacuum and read all the reviews. I absolutely love it (as much as you can love a vacuum cleaner). I have a cat that sheds alot and live in an area thats pretty breezy all the time which generates lots of dust, so the bag filled up pretty quickly at first. Never realized how much dirt was deep down in my carpets. And of course, everytime I vacuum it raises the nap...almost like a new carpet every time.
I had a little problem with adjustment to bare floor, but just called customer service and they walked me right through it. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Last year I purchased 2 Fantom vacuums having heard wonderful things about them. I kept one and gave my son the other one. They worked great in the beginning however, within 4 weeks mine quit working. We took the whole thing apart trying to find out what the problem could possibly be. It would appear to be electrical because when I move the handle it quits working. My sons vacuum quit working as well. We were very disturbed by this because the suction and overall performance was great.
My husband decided I needed a Dyson. I told him before I was going to spend in excess of $400 plus I wanted to do some research. As luck would have it our Sunday paper held a Consumers Report sample page. On it were ratings for the very vacuum we were looking at buying. When I read that the Eureka out performed I became very interested. This is how I found my way to the Amazon page. I have never used Amazon before and was impressed with the reviews.
I read more of the views than I care to admit. I took into consideration all that was being said and decided this was the way I wanted to go. My vacuum arrived within 2 days. It was most easy to assemble and use. It was not as heavy as I assumed it would be due to the feedback. It is by no means light weight but no heavier than what I had been using. The comments about making the carpet look brand new, well this is true. I have a playroom that my 5 grandchildren use everyday and the carpet takes a beaten from them, right now it looks brand new. All the carpet through out my house looks brand new. The nap sticks straight up. What impressed me the most is how quick it erased indentions from the furniture. Two passes and it was gone. It works great on the stairs too.
Next I took it to the Cherry hardwood floors, beautiful. I had no problems with switching from carpet to floor. The pedal was not an issue I found no problems depressing it. The cord is very generous in length. The only draw back I do agree with is the short length on the hose. I have not had any problems with attachments falling off as I made certain they were properly secured. For the money you cannot go wrong. If this vacuum lasts 2 years I will be thrilled.
Note* This out performed the Fantom hands down!
