Tool Review: a bad remake of a good vaccuum

We previously owned a Eureka Boss Smart Vac (at the advise of consumer reports) and couldn't have been happier with it. It lasted several years but did eventually ware out. When we decided to replace it we wanted to go with the same brand and model. The one we got was the newest version but wasn't nearly as well made. We returned the first one within a few weeks because the motor sounded like it was straining. The second one started to have the same problem a few months down the line and then died on us about 4 months in. I know that our carpet is probably cleaner than most because we don't wear shoes in our house and don't have pets. If you buy this you might be happy for a bit but not for long.
