Customer Review: a bad remake of a good vaccuum

We previously owned a Eureka Boss Smart Vac (at the advise of consumer reports) and couldn't have been happier with it. It lasted several years but did eventually ware out. When we decided to replace it we wanted to go with the same brand and model. The one we got was the newest version but wasn't nearly as well made. We returned the first one within a few weeks because the motor sounded like it was straining. The second one started to have the same problem a few months down the line and then died on us about 4 months in. I know that our carpet is probably cleaner than most because we don't wear shoes in our house and don't have pets. If you buy this you might be happy for a bit but not for long.Customer Review: broken belts

I love this vacuum except for the constant broken belts...The belts are breaking almost monthly now...very annoying. When vacuum is working it is a great vacuum but the constant need to change belts is getting old....very oldCustomer Review: it's fine, but not fantastic

The vacuum has got a long extension cord, and is pretty decent at what it does. Cons, though, are that it's noisy, the hose comes out of the holder practically every time I use it, it never assembled perfectly - the case was always a bit loose (it's not me - I'm actually pretty handy!), and it's noisy. Suction is fine, but nothing I'm going to brag about to friends. I've had it 2 years, and mine's red, not yellow. I'm not wildly impressed, but it's ok.Customer Review: terrible vacuum cleaner

I only wish I had read the prior review before buying this vacuum. It is the heaviest vacuum I have ever operated. And as stated, the floor switch is broken right out of the box. I have already scratched my hardwood floors before I discovered that it was not working correctly. I got this for Xmas and will try to return it to the store. I no longer have the box, but do have the receipt. Wish me luck.
