I love this little vacuum. I have ceramic tile floors and carpet. It does an excellant job on both. For those quick clean-ups when company is coming, it can't be beat. Does it's job then stores conveniently away to wait for the next task.Customer Review: A lifesaver!

I love the Boss! I run it over the hardwoods and area rugs every day... almost elimates the need for regular sweeping and vacuuming. I am on my second Boss in 10 years.. they last from 5- 7 years with moderate usage. I also own the Bissell Catch-All and I have to say the Eureka Boss outperforms it in every way (the only caveat being that the Catch-All has the option of attaching a dry dust cloth to the bottom.. an option I couldn't care less about, since it doesn't seem to clean any better with the cloth on).
BOSS ADVANTAGES:
-light and maneuverable (Bissell Catch-all head is larger and clunkier, while the actual cleaning/suction area is the same size as the Boss)
-Boss holds a charge for a fairly long while.. I've gotten up to 30 minutes on a single charge (Bissell Catch-all loses suction after 15 minutes)
-charges up fully within 6- 8 hours (Bissell Catch-all takes 24 hours)
-very good suction.. picks up everything from dust and fine crumbs to larger sized pieces of whatever (suction of Bissell Catch-all is not as strong)
-works very well on hard floors and area rugs.. great on stairs (Bissell Catch-all slows noticably on even the shortest of area rugs, and does not pick everything up. It really is only for hard floors)
BOSS DRAWBACKS:
-sort of noisy!
-works slightly less efficiently on longer rugs (although for a quick surface cleanup of the rug, the Boss can't be beat)
-dust cup compartment is a little difficult to insert and remove.. although I think they are working on this, as the cup has become easier to manage on the newer model
-doesn't always get into the corners, and of course, you will have to get out your dustrag or mop for those baseboards
These drawbacks are minimal and didn't stop me from giving the Boss five stars!! Well worth the money.

I can't rate it because the one I got in the mail does not work. Luckily Eureka has such a great customer service, they are sending me a brand new one just from what I said over the phone, and I dont have to return the one I have - so no extra postage charge. BUT i have to wait 8 weeks!!! what will i do with all this dust in the meantime....
I got the replacement and I LOVE THIS THING it is so fabulous. Get one for upstairs and downstairs. It is so much better than a dust buster - it really works.

I'm in love with this handy little machine! Would like to give it 4 1/2 stars (not 5 since it could stand a couple of tweaks). The battery lasts about 40 minutes & it's most convenient that a second battery is included with your purchase. It's very lightweight & picks up pet hair quite well. Cons: You have to empty the dirt cup often as it doesn't hold much. Be sure to empty it over a trash can, or even outside as it kicks-up a lot of dust. I have a hard time fitting the dirt cup back on the machine, as the gasket has to be placed just so. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. I was looking for a cordless vac that has the power of an electric - this fills the bill nicely.Customer Review: Absolutely Fabulous!

We have two dogs and really needed something to help with the grass and dirt from when they come back inside. I bought this on Friday and we've used it probably 10 times. It's great on dog hair, grass and leaves. I use it to spot vac all of our area rugs and kitchen. Note to stupid people-this is not meant to be a regular full sized vac. If you need one of those buy a regular sized vaccum cleaner!!
