Tools and Hardware Reviews of Eureka 96 B Quick Up Upright Cordless Stick Vacuum

Customer Review: Blue Ribbon Winner
Summary: 5 Stars

Got this little miracle at a Thrift Store for $3 with charger & two batteries. It was filthy & the power nozzle was jammed. Cleaned, charged, got a new belt at Granger ($1), installed it (easy & enjoyable way to kill an hour (instead of at the Casino)).
We have 2 black dogs & 2 multi colored cats, 2000 sq. ft of wall to wall carpet & two bathrooms, a big kitchen and carpeted stairs. Big house: lotsa dirt, dust, pet hair & I am messy.
The Eureka Cordless, bagless, weightless, troubleless, 96B gets used 2 or 3 times a day because it is just such a pleasure to let it do its thing. The amount of debris in the cup is truly shocking. We had no idea we were so dirty.
Light, handy, easy to use, clean, repair, store, I am so in love with it my wifey will not be surprised to see it in our bed!! To me 'Made in China' means 'avoid.' Not in this case--we couldn't be happier.
Wish Eureka would make a full sized model with 18
volts.

Customer Review: Boss 96D Cordless Upright Vacuum
Summary: 4 Stars

I have an expensive Orek corded upright. This isn't nearly as powerful, but makes up in lightness and convenience, and is the one I use daily. Works well on tile or wood, and pretty well on carpet too. Unfortunately batteries last only about a year, and its not much more to get a new vac then a new battery. I've had these for years, they're not for heavy duty work but well worth the reasonable cost.

Customer Review: Broken within 5 mins

The suction setting stopped working within 5 minutes of operation. Had to return it back to Amazon. Although the price is good, it's not worth the hassle.

Customer Review: Buy This--Even If You Don't Live In A Zoo!
Summary: 5 Stars

I live in a house with wood and tile floors and with rugs of varying pile heights--from cotton mats to plush pile. I also have 10 cats, 3 dogs, a rabbit, a parrot and 4 finches (thank God the fish don't shed). I have a TriStar canister vacuum that works like a miracle, weighs a ton and is about as much fun as a root canal. Due to the hassle, i have developed a real aversion to vacuuming--not a good thing in this house.

I"ve had it about a year and I use this little wonder everywhere: the stairs, the rugs, the porch, the bathrooms. It picks up bird seed, kitty litter, downy feathers, bunny fluff, small bits of hay, dirt, dust, and hair, hair, hair! Angora-fine cat hair, long, coarse dog hair, my hair. It picks up amazingly well in corners and along the wall. I do have to make multiple passes sometimes to pick up some things (or just go a little slower), but it usually gets the job done in a swipe or two.

The motor that runs the beater bar is quite powerful, as is the one in charge of suction. The model that I have came with a spare battery, which gives me almost enough suckage to do a quick pass through my whole house--about 3500 sq. ft. While a project of that size does require multiple emptyings of the reservoir--hey, it's a STICK.

This little gizmo will not replace my Steel Pig, but I would be up to my knees in dust bunnies without it. In fact, as soon as I finish this review, I'm ordering another one just for upstairs.

Look no further--BUY THIS ONE!

Customer Review: Buy it, you'll love it
Summary: 5 Stars

Like previous reviewers, I take this little vac out constantly.. kitchen floor crumbs, large area touch-ups, area rug cleaning.. and my kids fight over it! It's so easy to grab it, clean up, and pop it back in the closet. A single charge lasts about 2000 square feet for touch ups, and about half that for thorough cleaning. It does a perfect job on flat and plush carpets, and a good job on wood floors, tile, and berber. The little pieces it misses on the very textured carpets is more than made up for by its lightweight, cordless convenience! I am on my second one, the first one having burnt out after about 3 years of almost daily use by my son, and twice-weekly charging. I am a Boss owner for life.
