Unless I am missing something or I got a lemon, I can not imagine why the average # of stars this vacuum is getting is as high as it is. I researched vacuums for a few weeks before I decided on this one - it was a VERY informed purchase. Even though there is plenty of feedback stating that this is rather heavy and difficult to push around, I took that chance, as it didn't really bother me. HOWEVER, the degree to which this vacuum is totally unwieldy borders on the ridiculous. Not only is it heavy, but it is so hard to push it almost feels like it has brakes on. I only have 2 area rugs in my house to vacuum and we have just stopped using it altogether because it is so difficult. Does is suck? You bet - a little too well, in fact, because it actually ate the corner of one of our area rugs. But I would happily give up some of the sucking power for a vacuum that you can actually work with.Customer Review: Amazed at the power!

My old vacuum cleaner was an inexpensive bagless model and worked OK but I never really liked cleaning it out. I always felt like dirt was "floating" back into the house when I removed the dirt holding tank. It was damaged in a flood and I needed a new one so reasearched bagged vs. bagless vacuums online. My research revealed that if you want a bagless vacuum spend the extra money and get an expensive one but you can get by with a less expensive model if it uses bags. I decided on this model and was very surprised at the suction and cleaning power. I would definately recommend this model and would buy it again.Customer Review: Amazing Service

I live in an apartment and initially bought a small cheap vacuum which never really worked well. I read lots of reviews about this product before deciding to purchase and found that Amazon had the best price. I love this vacuum. It was easy to assemble, lightweight, the attachements all work amazingly and they snap securely onto the vacuum.Customer Review: Amazing at any price

I was pretty skeptical, but did quite a bit of research, and discovered that this vacuum was getting a lot of high marks from both consumer and professional reviewers. I've spent two and three times as much for lesser machines in the past. This one is by far the best we've ever used. It sucks up way more dirt than the Hoovers and Dysons we've had before. The only cons I've noticed are 1) it does not have great on-board storage for its accessories, particularly the "paw" device; 2) if you can call this a drawback, its suction is so strong that it takes a bit of effort pull it backward for the next pass. And we have to change the bag more often.
