HATE, HATE HATE this vaccum. If I could have given in zero stars believe me I would have. I feel as if I have gotten my workout for the week. This reminds me of the OLD vaccums of the 30 or 40's that were so heavy and cumbersome that you just can't move them. Going back ASAP! I have two 12X12 rugs and the rest is bare wood floors. It sucked the carpet up off the floor. It sucks (LOL). But its just too heavy. Wish I had read the one star reviews instead of just the good consumer reports view. I can't say enough bad stuff about this vaccum. Its unbelievable just how heavy, ackward, and the manuvability is horrible. It would move in the forward direction well enough, sort of, but pulling it back was a job unto itself. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea just how heavy and horrible and how much I really hate this vaccum!Customer Review: Another great purchase

I purchased my first Boss vacuum over three years ago. I haven't had any problems with it. I purchased my second Boss vacuum because I wanted a new one. I gave the first one to my nephew. Both vacuums pick the allergens and other stuff that get embedded in the carpet. I have used it on bare floors as well as thick carpet. If you want a quiet vacuum, this is not for you.I wanted a vacuum that help with the environment. This device does that because it uses micro filtration bags and HEPA filter. I used the accessories to clean up around areas that I can't get the vacuum in. If you need to do stairs, I would recommend a hand held vacuum. If you have the strength to carry this unit up and down stairs, it will do the job.Customer Review: Arkansas Shopper

The Eureka 4870MZ Boss Smart-Vacuum has a great suction power and does a good clean up. A couple of small problems are that one of the extra tools does not stay stored on the machines as indicated. The other is that the feature to change the brush wheel from carpet to floor and vice versa is extremely difficult to set as is the control to unlock the handle section. Other than that it appears to be a very good cleaner for the price.Customer Review: As advertised

After reading all the reviews I decided to buy this vacuum. It works very well, has great suction and is fairly quiet. The only negative I have noted at this point is the foot lever to tilt the handle down. It seems very weak and very difficult to do. I would certainly recommend.
