This replaced my Hoover Tempo Widepath because I wanted a power brush attachment and to be able to turn brush off.
Pros:
* Switch to go from floor to hose
* Powerpaw attachment
* Turn brush off
* Easy height adjust
* Good hose
* Long cord
* great suction
Cons:
* Hose was not long enough; ordered extension.
* attachments do not attach well to the body (except paw)
* Handle too short for tall male

I have owned several vacuums,but the Eureka Boss Smart Vac is still the best. This is my second one. The first one I gave to my son when he moved out. I replaced it with a different Eureka, big mistake! It wasn't the same. So, I went back to this model and it's still my favorite. It picks up all the dog hair from my two dogs from both carpet and ceramic tile. The tools are all on board and easy to use. I'll never pick another brand or model again.Customer Review: Best vacuum I've ever had!

I bought this about a month ago with the same intention as others who said they had a bagless and wanted to go back because of how gross and messy bagless vacuums were. I read reviews and this was rated as the highest bagged vacuum for performance, noise, etc. I've never had anything but a cheap vacuum in the past, so my review should have that caveat. However, this vacuum is awesome! It is far less noisy than so many other vacuums I've had and the suction is amazing. I read where others said it picks up the carpet pile, but it truly does! My carpet hasn't looked this good except when it was first installed. And I feel like it is really clean. Also, the apolestry (not spelled right) attachment is awesome. In fact, I have to use that for small area rugs because the vacuum is too strong for those. I am super satisfied with this vacuum, and FYI it is now $20 cheaper on Amazon than when I bought it with NO shipping-fantastic!
The only negatives to this are what others have said - the hose is short; I wish it was longer. And it is heavy - so going up and down stairs could be tough for some; but those are really my only complaints.

My carpet is old but had finally gotten to the point where it was stained so badly, no matter how many times I cleaned it, the stains kept coming back, not matter what I tried, and I tried EVERYTHING! As a final last desperate act, I looked for a vacuum on Amazon, and after reading all the rave reviews on this one, I bought it -- and it worked! After vacuuming my carpets with this vacuum, I was finally able to get them clean with my steam cleaner. I guess my old vacuum was so feeble that it was leaving so much dirt in the carpet that the cleaner just couldn't do it's job efficiently -- I think with all that dirt in there (I have three huge dogs who live in the house, but love playing in the dirt and mud) trying to clean it was just making the stains worse. Now my carpets are finally clean again and I'm having to steam clean them only rarely, because this vacuum gets pretty much everything up to the point where I don't have to clean it so often! I was on the point of ripping my carpet out and buying new carpet, so this vacuum was WELL WORTH the price -- it gave my carpet a few more years lease on life!
