After reading about several popular steam cleaners, I decided upon this model. After several months, I'm please to say that it meets and exceeds my expectations. My floors are cleaner than they've ever been. Mostly, because it affords me the time to clean my hard floors more frequently. This steamer is heavier than the Shark, but has twice the water capacity, eliminating frequent refills. The power plug is an unexpectedly tight fit in some outlets. It does a good job of cleaning, much better than the Swiffer Wet Jet I formerly used. It eliminates the need for hands 'n knees scrubbing that I used to find necessary every few weeks before this. It is solidly made, no flimsy parts, and should last for a long time. Since it uses no chemicals, it is economical to operate, while giving me the truly clean floors I seek. The first time I used it, it left the floors rather wet, but subsequent use has been very satisfactory; this seems to be a "break-in" thing. I just received my Eureka Enviro Mop yesterday. I found all the reviews really helpful and thought it sounded like the best mop. I used it today and was pleasantly surprised at how well it cleaned and how easy it was to use. I followed all the manufacturers directions and it performed just as they said it would. No more scrubbing on my hands and knees and no more Swiffer mops pads or solution...just fill it up with H2O and go! I tried a Shark steam mop a couple of years ago & returned it immediately. My carpet cleaner recommended the Eureka Envirosteam. Not yet convinced, I did quite a bit of research before purchasing the mop. I have really been pleased. It's easy to use & there were no streaks on my tile floors. On my bare feet, my floors felt "hand scrubbed" when I was finished! You do have to vacuum your floors first or sweep them very well.Customer Review: A Healthy Way To Clean

I've had friends whose pets have gotten sick from various cleaning products. Having a small dog (whose nose is very close to the floor) I have tried to make my own green cleaning solutions but sometimes they don't clean as well as I'd like. When I saw this Eureka Enviro Floor Steamer, I loved that it cleans with only steam.
When it arrived, it only required the handle to be screwed on and it was ready to go. The instruction manual was easy to follow regarding filling and using the steamer. I plan to use a marker to label the plastic measuring cup and funnel since many appliances seem to come with different versions of these things. I used it the first night and it took about 4 minutes for the steamer to be hot enough to use. As most have said, the first time you use it, a lot of water does come out but I was prepared for that. The second time I used it, very little water was left on the floor. I have to remind myself to hold the steamer over the dirtier spots for at least 8 seconds to get them clean, but that is my problem, not the steamers. The cord could be a bit longer but that is a small complaint. I guess I could use an extension cord if I really wanted to clean my downstairs without changing outlets.
It doesn't clean corners very well, but I do like that it is short enough to get under furniture and cabinets. I don't think my floors have been this clean since they were new. I'm not a natural born cleaner but I'm finding myself looking for floors that need steam-cleaned. Despite a few minor complaints, I still give it 5 stars - and I'm sure my dog will be healthier because of the chemical-free floors.
UPDATE: After 3 uses, the steamer quit working. I found an authorized warranty shop and took it there. It took about 10 days but they had to send it back to the company and I received a new one - maybe refurbished. I've used it once and it works great. I sure hope it lasts a long time because I still love how it cleans my floors. I am glad that it has a year warranty.
