I bought the Eureka 4700 Max because I read it's information and it looked like it was all I needed in one vacuum.
I was looking for a light bagless with a long hose,cord and good suction power. It has all the above.I was impressed. However, I did have a problem with the first one that was sent to me. I only had it for a few weeks when suddenly the machine shut down for no reason while I was vacuuming. I tried different outlets and no power to the machine at all. A half hour later I tried to put it on again and the power to the machine came back on.I was only vacuuming for about 5 minutes when this happened. I thought it needed to be returned due to this problem. I was sent another one and so far this one is working normally and does fit my everyday vacuuming needs.

I was looking to replace my vacuum cleaner and I got some suggestions from friends /folks in the stores etc. Someone told me to get a particluar one. I went online and it was selling for upwards of $600. I was like, "For that price, it better come with a maid, forever". Nonetheless I did some more research and found this. I bought it. It was a little tricky putting together (I don't do good with assembly manuals), but it took no time. My carpet was looking nice from vacuuming day before with my older Dirt Devil, but like a kid with a new toy, I had to vacuum all over again. I was shocked to see how much this thing sucked out of the 'clean' carpet. It is so powerful and efficient, and also a serious bargain for the price. If you want a vacuum that really works and not have to borrow out of your 401k to get it - this is it, people. I wish Eureka makes a 220V version that I can send to my people in the UK.Customer Review: Eureka 4700D

It's a vaccum. I assembled the model with a little help from the instruction book. Easy to do. I tried it out both on our hardwood floors and low carpet. Picked up gross stuff just fine. The only problem is the hose keeps coming loose from the main part. I just pop it back in. If, that would annoy you than maybe wrap a piece of tape around the hose to give it a snugger fit. It hasn't driven me to trouble shoot the matter. It's a fine vaccuum for the price. I'm a huge fan of the bagless features. It has great suction. Lot's of accessory tools. It's nice to just empty the canister than to change a bag. Has a small belt window so you don't have to wonder about a broken belt because you can see it. I'm glad I chose this one!
