Customer Review: Descent on carpet. Bad on bare floors

Pros : Cheap, Light, you can see when you have to empty the canister (basically after every use with a cat)
Cons : Loud, Hose falls out of hole, Blows everything around on hard floors and spits debris right back at your feet.
Took 3 laps around my apt to see that i only blew the dust around and then I gave up and went shopping for something better. It did do well with cat hair on carpet though.
$60 = Disposable vacuum

This product is crap. The design is so poor that one is left in disbelief that anyone got away with this let alone got paid for this rotten design. The exhaust is in the front of the vac and blows the dirt around like tumbleweeds in the wind. Oddly, it seems to leave a lot of dirt on the floor, but is great at sucking up heavy things that are adjacent to it such as curtains, rugs, tablecloths- they may be a half a foot away when suddenly they are consumed! Vacuming with this is very stressful as one watches the dirt blow around yet is constantly having to turn it off and yank the curtains from being wrapped around the beater bar. Oh, and why are the curtains always getting wrapped so completely around the beater bar? Because the chimp that designed this thing put the on off switch right next to the handle release switch so as one is hurridly trying to shut it off before it fully engorges itself on one drapes, the handle release switch, which is in the way, is the switch a hurried frantic foot starts pushing to try to power off the machine. The power cord is too short, the cord wrap system is inadequate, and the brush accessory falls off so often that one might as well keep it in a junk drawer. And as for parts falling off the machine- the suction hose constantly falls out of the vac head. A truely disappointing machine and a waste of money.Customer Review: Did not work right out of the box

Didn't get much of a chance to review this item because it did not work right out of the box. I assembled it, turned it on, and the belt would not turn. This meant that the brush would not turn, which meant that I wasn't going to pick up much on a rug. It was nice and light, though, and easy to assemble.Customer Review: Died in less than two years

The product works OK, although the filter design produces dust clogs if you are not careful. This vacuum died in less than two years of light usage. OK for the price, but I'm surfing for a new, more expensive, non-Eureka vacuum when I finish this review.Customer Review: Disappoinment

I had high hopes for this product, as it claimed to handle pet hair particularly well. My experience was just the opposite. While the special hair filter trapped hair pretty well, within just a few minutes the hair backed up into the hose and clogged the whole system. The only way to get the hair out of the hose was to take the screw out that held the hose to the vacuum and push the hair through with a broom handle - a messy 15+ minute task. I finally stopped putting the screw in because I had to take it off at least once every time I vacuumed. The hair also clogged in the intake from the roller, so the four screws that held the base together had to be removed nearly every time I vacuumed to clean out that area. The suction got so bad that the hand-held roller would no longer spin and was worthless. Today the motor on the roller burned out because it caught a shoelace for approximately two seconds. We have only had the vacuum for about six months. Save yourself a whole lot of aggravation and buy a different product!
