My entire downstairs is laminate flooring and with two kids, hubby's boots, etc it is a beast to keep clean. I bought this based on reviews, in tandem with the Eureka 313A Enviro steam mop. I am thrilled with both products. The vacuum to get the debris off the floor before mopping makes the process fast and easy.
The fact that it turns into a hand-held is an added bonus. The extendable handle makes the hand-held even more beneficial, no crouching to vacuum between the fridge and the wall, no hands and knees for the tough to reach corners!
The suction impressed me for the price. It picks up cheerios no problem.
The low profile of the front is a plus. I can vacuum all the way under the sofas from one side, the vacuum will lay almost completely flat without the front coming off the floor.
One thing to note, though it will work on light floor rugs (kitchen rugs, bathmats) it is not intended to use on carpet! Don't buy this to vacuum carpet, you will be disappointed.

This is a great little vac for homes with not much carpet. We use this on our wooden and lino floors and the occassional rug, and it works a charm. The dust compartment is easy to empty and it's extremely lightweight. Great for the price!Customer Review: EASY RIDER

What a great little vacuum! This little dynamo will amaze you. It took no tools and a few easy clicks to put together. I have wood laminate floors throughout my home and the Eureka cleaned the whole house. It has a narrow head which gets under cabinets, furniture and behind toilets. It is very light weight and easy to maneuver. It has an easy to clean dust cup which means there are no bags or belts to buy. The floor cleaning head pops right off to turn into a hand vac., great for pet hair etc. on furniture. The crevice tool pops right in for hard to reach nooks and crannies with the added convenience of the handle so no bending and stooping. I like the small head because it gets into small spaces that average vacs. cannot. It does not have a beater brush so it is perfect for hard surfaces and small area rugs.
