I was looking for something to pick up the bits left over from "swiffering". We have pets and laminate flooring throughout the house so I have to keep the floors swept/mopped every day to keep on top of it. My regular vacuum cleaner doesn't work that great on the laminate floors, it just blows stuff all around, so I mainly use it on the area rugs. The swiffer just wasn't big enough to use on a four bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house, I needed something more. A broom works OK on the bigger stuff, but the cat fluff and dust just sticks to the broom and/or flies all over the place. I was very close to picking up a swiffervac but decided to do some research first. I really wanted something I could plug in so I didn't have to worry about battery life.
Well, this fit the bill in every aspect.
* Very lightweight, works perfectly on my stairs and easy to pick up to use on furniture
* I love that I can push the handle down inside and pop the flat part off the bottom and have an instant dust buster!
* the suction is excellent. I swiffered, then used the broom, THEN used this and I was amazed at how much more "stuff" was caught up in the little bag/filter
*this is NOT to replace a regular vacuum cleaner or to be used to clean the entire house top to bottom, it's not meant for that. It's for sweeping up crumbs under the table or around a high chair, fuzzballs/hair off the furniture, SMALL dry spills, etc.
The bag is about the size of a half-quart ziploc type bag and I empty it with every use, it just takes a second to open it up and dump the bag. I think you could wash the bag out with water if you were careful and let it dry all the way before using it again. Or use a bigger vacuum with good suction to really get it clean, whichever you prefer.
I haven't found any of the complaints the other reviewers reported, no dirt "flying out from the middle" or anything like that. It just works as I wanted for quick clean ups, the same way you would use a dust buster, except easier because it has a retractable handle and wheels if you don't want to bend down. I'm buying another one to leave upstairs so I will always have one on hand. The bonus part is, there is an opening in the handle so it could be hung on a hook for storage.
I read 57 reviews before deciding on this vac and it was worth the extra effort since it was fifteen dollars cheaper than the swiffer vac in the store and will certainly outlast it!

I have used this vacuum three or four times. It is very easy to use and very light weight. It picks up better than battery vacuums and does not run down before you finish. Keep in mind this is a light duty machine best used on hard floors and getting cookie crumbs off the sofa. The cord is not very long so you cannot go out into the hall while cleaning. I have a smaller place that doesn't require a monster vacuum, something larger than a minivac and this seems to be it with a minivac option and the suction is good, to my surprise. I bought the Boss for my wife because I was tired of her complaning about our vacumes weight. Well when I got the Boss she was so happy, oh yea the kids love useing it to, which is great. Thanx for a great product.
