I did not purchase this item for myself but sent it to my niece. She has a cat in her home who does a lot of shedding so she was looking for something that would do a quick & easy job. As soon as the vacuum arrived. her 14 year old son put it together & used it immediately. She is extremely satisfied with the job this lightweight vacuum does with hardly no effort.
