Have had four Mighty Mites over the years. These are the only small, easy to carry around, reasonable priced vacuums on the market. Don't have a pet, but the HEPA filter is great. Great little 'sucker', as well. Only real minus in the heaviness of the metal wand. However, having the wand length adjustable is a nice feature and worth having the wand be metal.Customer Review: Great Little Vacuum

Bought this to replace my 15 year old+ Eureka Canister vac, based on reviews, here. Great little vacuum, more suction power. Pet tool is awesome for couch, etc. Wife loved the gliding wheels of the floor attachment onn the laminate floors. I have had this for 9 months now but have barely used it. I purchased a new sofa so had been 'stricter' about keeping the pets off! The few times I used it, I was amazed how well the pet attachment worked. Though I went to use it this past weekend for only the 3rd or 4th time, and just as I was thinking how impressive this attachment was, it just slowed down all of sudden. It would hardly pick up hair. Then it quit. I checked to see if a string or something had wound around the roller. It was completely clean. Of course I cannot exchange it since I've had it so long. But again, it's brand new still!
I gave it 5 stars because the vacuum is great for the price. It is still working fine (as it should being barely used). It has an adjustable metal wand, a few attachments, hepa filter, and is easy to carry around. The hose is pretty cheap compared to the rest of the vacuum and attachments, but for cost it's worth it.
I just want the pet attachment to work! It truly picked up pet hair better than I expected. I'd almost chance purchasing just the pet hair attachment again if I knew this was just a fluke and that they normally last a lot longer. *Has anyone else had the pet attachment quit working after only a few uses? Is there any recourse I can take?* Thanks for any response/info/help on this!

I purchased this vac on-line in Jan 2009. It works great! Good suction, and the pet-hair attachment is a wonderful accessory. The hose that attaches to the vacuum, however, is a very cheap all-plastic hose and will break down from being bent while vacuuming. I had to replace the hose six months into the purchase. Eureka replaced it under warranty, but I am sure I will have to do this again in another few months and will have to pay for the hose this time. We own an upright Eureka vac cleaner as well. The hose on that has a steel spiral built into it and will outlast the vac cleaner itself. But this one has a very cheaply made hose and will cost you money in the long run.
