I've had this vacuum for over a year and I still love it. It is light-weight, compact and gets the job done. I have laminate flooring and tile all throughout my house and two very large dogs. The Mighty Mite keeps up flawlessly. The Pet Paw mine came with also cleans my microfiber couches quite well.

I only have one area rug in my home in my son's room. It is really thin and the Mighty Mite cleans it just fine. I'm not sure how it would do on thicker carpeting, but my guess is that it wouldn't be a good fit. There are no rotating bristles on the end.

We love this vacuum and are so glad that the salesman talked us out of the really expensive one!

I bought this vacuum to do my hard word floors and uncarpeted stairs and it is great. It is small enough to place on a step in front of you as you do a stairway but also light enough to pick up easily. It has great suction. I used it over two weeks ago and I still don't see much dirt accumulating on stairs or in corners which I find will happen if areas are not thoroughly cleaned. It is one of the few small vacuums with a bag. I hate bagless vacuums. What is the point of vacuuming especially with all of those filters and then spewing dirt everywhere when you empty the dust container? And then having to use a second vacuum to clean the filters? I haven't used this one on carpets (I have Eureka uprights for that) and I haven't used the pet paw (I don't have a pet... got it just in case) and I haven't had it long enough to speak to its longevity, but so far I am delighted.

Pros: Inexpensive, lightweight, excellent suction with the main attachment (pictured) and the crevice attachment. Works brilliantly on wooden floors and tile, and almost too well on rugs (lifts them off the floor)

Cons: I still get tangled with the the hose, wheels are plastic rather than rubber and I fear they may scratch the floors, the paw attachment doesn't seem much use on my sofa (other tools are better) and the metal extension to the hose falls off the plastic part every now and then, so perhaps the seal could be better.

Overall great value for money though.

Customer Review: Great little sucker for hardwood floors

I have two active German Shepherds and the hair and dirt that accumulates around here sometimes is crazy. It just became too much for my old expensive upright. One thing my old upright was never great at was the hardwood floors, which makes up three quarters of my house. This little sucker does not have that problem. It is powerful and fabulous on the hardwoods, getting the hair and dirt with ease and as it is lightweight and mobile I can get through the whole house in a reasonably short period of time. The reason I didn't go with five stars is that without a full sized rotating brush head it is not good on carpeting. The small pet attachment is good for upholstery and maybe small rugs, but not for full carpeting and larger rugs. It would take forever to do one carpeted room going a few inches at a time. Also, the dog hair can really get ground in to the rugs and I need that large brush to loosen it up. I am now researching whether Eureka sells a full sized brush head for this little guy that I can purchase. It would be really helpful. Meanwhile, this is a great little vacuum for most of my house and given how inexpensive it was, I am really happy with it.
