Customer Review: Compact Powerhouse

Used almost every day for about a month now on level loop carpet, bare floors, and stiff low-pile area rugs. It's a compact little powerhouse. I have back and muscle issues, so I didn't want a giant heavy vacuum. Recommended for those with arthritis and related conditions.
Noise: Low-pitched moderate noise. Very acceptable. Cats don't freak out anymore.
Handling: Lightweight. Easy to maneuver. Fits in small hard to reach places. Handle is great to hold. The telescoping button and catch of the handle seem a little flimsy so I will be careful with it.
Power: Very strong suction. Incredible for such a little vac. Super on bare floors. Suction is so strong it pulls stuff out of edges without even being over the spot. Downside is it sometimes blows dust bunnies out of corners before you can get to them due to the exhaust pointing toward the front. Lower the vac more and it helps.
Effectiveness: Works well in a small living space with cats. No litter spitting out back. Raises loop pile to look fresh. Doesn't work well on the stiff ultra low-pile area rug though. One height default setting is limiting. Rotating hand tool worked well on pet cushions. Air smells fresher after vacuuming.
Design: A good design layout for a vac that's compact. I like that the vacuum's suction power can be set to the hose or the floor. Cord is a couple feet shorter than what it should be. The canister lid is locking which is nice, but a little awkward to get it on and off. The filter placement causes fibers to collect up top instead of at the bottom of the canister, so you have to clean it almost every time you vacuum.
Manual: No instructions on how to change belt.
Other thoughts: Puts out a large amount of heat, which is good in winter. In a small space raised the room temp 2º by the time I was done with some heavy cleaning. Hard to remove stickers on the outside, even with gummy remover. The power brush holder on top of the canister gets weak after a few uses.
Bottom line: For the cost this vacuum performs very well on level loop carpet with cats. Despite some flaws, it does the job and I would purchase again.

I just received this in the mail, and it's really easy to put together. Just snap pieces together and you're ready to go. The suction is really strong, and the hose attachment has really good suction as well. The most impressive part is the rotating brush attachment that picks up everything. I vacuumed the staircase with the attachment without a workout. Extremely lightweight as well. I'm really happy about this purchase!Customer Review: DO NOT BUY THIS VACUUM

We purchased this vacuum to replace our old Eureka and it ruined our carpet!!! The suction is so great and the brushes are so low to the ground that the fibers of our carpet were actually "sucked up" and off the backing, leaving bare marks in our wall to wall carpeting. We've had this vacuum for almost a year now and it is still reliable. I've listed some pros and cons below.
Pros:
1) Lightweight, which is great for stairs and just general moving about the house.
2) Pet Paw hose attachment is still effective, especially on furniture. We have a cat and it still picks up the hair she leaves around the house.
3) Easy to store as it doesn't take up too much room.
Cons:
1) Emptying the dirt receptacle/cup can be messy. The cat hair gets caught between the filter and dust cup. I have to bang it in the garbage can which produces a sneeze inducing dust cloud. The worst part of this vacuum is having to remove the filter (occasionally) to clean.
2) Cord could be a little longer but you can remedy that with an extension or just do the unplug/plug move.
Overall, price, and effectiveness of this vacuum are decent. Only 4 stars however because of the dust cup (I call it the sneezing cup) emptying issues. If you can live with this drawback, which I have obviously having had this vacuum for awhile, it is a decent purchase.

This is a great little vacuum! I have 4 pets and hardwoods/area rugs, but can't lift my heavy upright vacuum anymore (you can imagine the house :) I've used it about a month, and love it--it's so light and handy. It has great suction: picks up everything from baby powder and cracker crumbs to crushed leaves, small twigs, and other backyard stuff the dogs drag in. It's not as good with dog hair clumps and bigger stuff on the hardwoods, but that's easy to pick up by hand, or with the beater bar, which is amazing on both carpet and bare floors (my wood floors are old so I don't worry about them but I haven't seen any damage from it). Suction pulls dirt from under cabinets and tables, and it fits under tables and chairs, too, if you really want to go to town. Used the dust brush attachment but not the upholstery one, but it looks like it would really get the hair up. The design is so compact, sometimes the attachments or hose do pop off, and the dust cup is a bit fiddly at first (it loosens with use) and if you're allergic to dust like I am, you may need to use a mask or empty it outside, but these issues don't bother me much because for the price, this little vacuum beats my old Kenmore HEPA upright by a mile. There's no smell or obvious exhaust blowing out like my Kenmore either. I bought the washable HEPA filter and so far, it doesn't get as dirty as fast as the paper one that came with the vacuum. If you need something handy to pick up dust, dirt and small messes, ditch the broom and try this vacuum.
