Tools and Hardware Reviews of Eureka Pet Lover Oh! Upright Bagless Vacuum, 439AZCustomer Review: Eureka for Pet Lover's Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this vacuum after careful consideration and pricing. I almost spent over $400.00, thank goodness for reviews from satisfied customers. I am very pleased with the suction and removal of cat hair off furniture, curtains and throws. Say goodbye to the lint brush on your upholstery and throws, now you can leave them on the furniture and vacuum away the pet hair.
Customer Review: Excellent product! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best vacuum is the best I have ever owned! I have 4 cats and 5 dogs and have broken many vacuums because of the animal hair. I've had this one for over a year and it hasn't broken and it works great getting all the animal hair out of my carpet!
Customer Review: Excellent vaccum for the price! Summary: 5 Stars
This little vacuum works very well for only $75. I have two kittens, and I vacuum at least once a week since I am mildly allergic to them. This vacuum picks up quite a bit of cat hair every week. I also love the pet paw attachment for vacuuming the cat hair off of the couch, couch pillows, etc. It is smaller than most vacuums, but I actually prefer it this way since it is lighter and easier to store.
Customer Review: Fantastic! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this based on other reviews, and I haven't been disappointed! It's small and lightweight, I can easily switch between floor and hose for suction, so the rollers aren't spinning. I have just one cat, and it fills up every time! It picks up all of the lint from the new carpet, and then some! The only way it could be better is if it had a thinner attachment that I could stick down the lint trap in the dryer!
The suction will decrease once the filter is clogged. I have only owned it for four months, so I haven't yet replaced the filter, but that will happen very soon (in the next week). I've been pulling the fuzz off and tapping it on the step outside to really empty the dust from it, but it does need to be replaced now. The plus is that it's very easy to take off and replace, in just seconds, but it really does clog quickly, at least for me, and I run it every other day.
The only downfall is a relatively short cord. It's shorter than my old Electrolux, and I liked not having to unplug and reposition every twenty feet!
Customer Review: Filter issues Summary: 3 Stars
I live in a small studio with one small cat. For my purposes, this vacuum gets the floors clean to an extent that I'm happy with. I do, however, get frustrated at how quickly the filter becomes clogged. I vacuum once a week and replace the filter about every three months as all the nooks and crannies become hopelessly clogged after just one run of the vacuum over my studio. The way vacuumed up stuff enters the chamber, hair and dirt gets clogged up around the filter and the vacuum loses suction until you clean all of it out. This is my first real vacuum so perhaps this is standard and I just have unrealistically high expectations at what a vacuum filter should do?
Like I said, for a small space and a small pet, it works fine. I would not, however, recommend this vacuum for people with long hair pets, large dogs or larger homes. Don't let the "Pet Lover" label fool you into thinking that it is equipped to handle a ton of pet hair.
The pet attachment is definitely a redeeming quality of this vacuum. It works wonders on furniture and has replaced my habit of using one of those expensive Pledge fabric sweepers. The vacuum is also light, relatively un-cumbersome and the telescopic/retractable handle makes it easy for storage.
