I own a 90 pound Belgian Malinois who sheds much like a woolly mammoth year round. I've tried everything from as seen on TV rubber rakes to $500+ machines with little or no success. I've searched far and wide for a vacuum cleaner that can handle all of my dogs fur, and I finally found it. I used to own a Bissell and it couldn't even handle one room the tube would get clogged and I'd have to take it apart. This vacuum is small but powerful and for the price you can't beat it! Wow, I was so excited to try this vacuum after the reviews. But instead I ended up with long scratches all over my wood floors and in my kitchen on the tile. The brush was off so I had no idea how they happened. I had my husband look at the vacuum and he said it was from the tiny roller wheels on the front bottom. Sending it back for a refund but my floors are going to stay scratched. Grrrr.Customer Review: For the money, not bad

Ok, I've owned it 9mos or so, and have defiantly abused this thing.
I've got two big dogs, a 15mo old son, and a wood stove. As of yet i haven't killed this vacuum, it has outlasted the more expensive bissel i had before it.
Pros:
Plenty of suction
Light weight
Easy enough to unclog
Cheap
Cons:
Clogs easily*
Cheap plastic construction (if you can find a sub $150 one that's not....)
Collection bin too small*
No thermal overload on motor*
The vac has a stupid air flow design (small diameter, multiple 90deg bends) that lends itself to getting clogged. There is a provided clean out, but remember how you assemble it as you will need to pull the head off on occasion.
The bin is real small. i know its a small vac, but i have a 800sqft, not fully carpeted house and cant make it through a full vac w/o emptying it.
i don't think thermal protection on the motor is standard on vacs, but it should be. it would add >$5 to the cost of production, and would save the motor burning out. The complaints of dead motors is to do with it clogging BTW, if it starts to get hot stop and declog it. restricted air flow may not rob you of all suction, but it will stress the motor.
When this vac dies, I'd probably buy it again. It is kind of a POS, but is cheap and has good suction.

If I could leave negative stars for this I would. I don't usually bother writing reviews but I really wouldn't want anyone to waste their money on this one. It is garbage. Granted I have pets with long hair, but that's why I bought a "pet lover" vacuum, but I have never known a vacuum clog like this one does. The brush fills up with hair and stops spinning EVERY time I vacuum. the hoses plug, the motor overheats. I actually dread vacuuming (something I never really minded before) because now a 10 minute job regularly takes me half an hour or more, most of which is spent fixing and unclogging the machine. Even when it is freshly cleared of clogs and the brush is free of hair, it's pick up quality is sub-par. By FAR the WORST vacuum cleaner I have ever owned... with no close second. DON'T BUY IT!
