Customer Review: A delicate and dangerous product

Within one minute of use, a small tab broke off the handle. This caused the handle to flex and not apply enough pressure to the trigger, so there was very little steam. After gluing the top of the handle to the base unit, the steam worked well. But after one hour of use, the hose attachment started leaking in multiple places. The heat seems to have warped the hose where it attaches to the base, so it no longer seals. I'd have burned my hip if I hadn't been wearing jeans. This is a delicate and dangerous product in my opinion.

A multipurpose household appliance, the Shark Portable Pro has a wide range of functions, from careful steaming of delicate clothing to heavy-duty cleaning in bathrooms and kitchens without the use of harmful chemicals. The steam cleaner comes with multiple attachments, including a floor brush; a squeegee for windows, tile, shower doors, and mirrors; a concentrator nozzle for spraying dirt or grease from car tires, garbage cans, grills, and ovens; and an angled detail brush for hard-to-reach places, such as under the toilet bowl rim or within the shower-door track. A flexible hose and two extension tubes alter the steamer to reach any cleaning job.
