I bought this eight foot long (approx 1 inch diameter) Cable Zipper in white at Linen's n Things for $14.99. I found the directions useless. It appears hopelessly complex. And it took some trial and error to figure out how the "zipper" works with the cable. Nevertheless, I was able to "zip" my many wires together in a few minutes! There are two clips with very strong double sided tape included in the package that help control the fat snake of a coil that results from filling the Cable Zipper with the various cords you want to tame. These clips (and the included tape) are stong enough to keep the snake where you want it to be. The result is not only neater, but easier to clean. I also think there will be fewer accidental disconnections when I roll the electronics cart away from the wall to dust/vacuum. I used the zipper on two separate bundles of cords. The first incorporated the Audio/Video white-red-yellow cords out of four sources (Replay TV, Apple iPod, Flip Video Cam, and DVD player) and the output A/V to/from a Sony auto-switch that senses which input device is in use, and directs the input out through the switch to the TV. The second bundle was all their power cords. After I zipped up the A/V cables, I cut off the excess Cable Zipper, and that was what I used to tame their power cords. Although each A/V cable and power cable was of a different length, the zipper made it easy to bring each separate cord each into and out of the coil where it was needed. Granted, this is an imperfect solution. The perfect solution would be to have wireless everything. But until that happens, this is the next best thing. And Amazon seems to have it at a better price (but then there's shipping). I'm on-line right now to buy a second Cable Zipper. These cable organizers look very professional and are easy to use. The different sizes make for applications for computers and also high end entertainment sytems.

I have a cable modem with both wired and wireless routers, phone, heart monitor connected to a separate phone line chargers for our different cell phones, chargers for camera batteries and TENS batteries all in one place along with all of the associated power cords for all of the above in one spot next to the bed, which is where the digital cable enters the house, the phone jack wires were brought into the house and the electrical outlet exists.
I cut the cable zipper in two and made two 4 ft zippers, one for the cable phone lines and all of the modem and router RJ-45 cables and power cords folded back on themselves. It is really crammed FULL of these large diameter cables and cords.
The chargers were all small gauge cords, so that one was easy, and I routed all of them to the dresser.
Voila, two cords and now I can now see 6 additional square feet of my carpet (and former utter tangle no matter how often I untangled them) along with all of the now exposed dust bunnies which were affecting my wife's and my allergies.
Now I am ordering two more to organize the stereo cords and TV, DVD cords downstairs!

THIS STUFF IS TERRIFFIC. A GREAT WAY TO HIDE MESSY COMPUTER, TELEPHONE, ET. AL. CORDS. A LITTLE PATIENCE REQUIRED TO FIGURE OUT JUST HOW TO GET STARTED, BUT YOU CAN DO IT, IF I DID. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

This is a great product. I use them for wraping up my power tool cords that are always coming undone using those paper wraped wire things. These work great!! They even stay on the power cord so you don't lose them.
