Tools and Hardware Reviews of Fenix P1D CE, Black, 135 LumensCustomer Review: almost great! Summary: 4 Stars
first impression, very impressive little light. for its size it has tremendous output. center of beam very white. also very nice clean spill area. has four settings. all controlled by the turning of the front lens cap. i think would have been nicer if it has a push-button tail cap, just my opinion. back to the settings. each of the four settings is controlled by the twisting of the front cap. the first is high power, turn off and then on again and it's the low power setting, again the same twist and it throws a steady fast blinking light, the last when twisted again (off and on) emits a slow blinking light. i guess if one needs the "blinking lights" this would be the ideal light. i would have preferred two settings, high and low, for power consumption. again, this is my opinion for the uses that i have for it. all in all this is a great, extremely small well made light for the person who appreciates fine quality.
Customer Review: an amazing light for the price and more Summary: 5 Stars
I've been hooked on flashlights for going on four years and this light may be the ultimate culmination of flashlight development driven by the good folks at the candlepower forums. I've spent up to $350 on flashlights that frankly don't do what this one does namely, offer an insane amount of brightness out of such a small package. with three brightness levels and two strobe levels and an easy user interface, making this little sucker work is a piece of cake. I believe that the low output setting will offer something like 21 hours of usable light, imagine some kind of disaster with the need to have a really long run time.
I'm writing a few of my impressions because I had become burned out on flashlights until this one came along. Imagine being out in a dark forest and you hear a sound, you flash your light 75 yards down the trail, you light up a bear and then you make a run for it. It's got two strobe (one fast, one slow) positions both useful in emergency situations where it's important to attract someone's attention, this littls sucker will do it all and it literally disappears into your pocket, or you can use the handy belt holder that it comes with, what a bargain.
In case you were wondering, I don't work for and having nothing to do with fenix other than owning two of their lights.
