I bought two other P3Ds 'cause I liked 'em so much and gave one to my Wife and another to a Coworker as a graduation gift. My Wife used to live in NYC and was harassed frequently and since Tasers are banned there, I got her the P3D. It's amazing how bright the light from this sucker is..
They are small, unobtrusive, and effective..
I couldn't resist the urge to sweep the light cone across my field of vision on Turbo Mode and ended up trying to blink the image away for the next ten minutes. I swear, if I had a Taser I'd have a much more interesting experience to post about..
If you don't mind buying CR123 batteries every so often, this is a nice light to get. If you want a different size or battery type, you can try any other light in the Fenix PxD or PDx0 series..
I'm surprised, but glad, the TSA hasn't banned Flashlights.. The P3D has been a sidearm for me since I've gotten it!

I've had this flashlight for about a year now, and it's just an amazing little light. I've used it mostly on campouts with the Boy Scouts, and every time I pull it out people ask about it because it throws such a powerful light (especially from such a small unit). The pattern of the light is perfect -- a strong center area (like a spotlight) with a fairly wide dispersal area around it (like flood light). You can find the CR123A batteries online for much cheaper than a local store. I bought mine directly from the Fenix Store. Fenix makes truly awesome flashlights.Customer Review: Great flashlight!

I purchased this flashlight after spending some time researching "pocket sized" flashlights with high output. The Fenix P3D Premium flashlight is much brighter than many of the Surefire offerings and is competitively priced. I have been carrying this since I purchased it and have not been disapointed with its performance. I would recommend this light to anyone. Customer Review: Great all around light

I use this light in conjunction with the Twofish adapter on my commute bike (Cree also makes a handlebar adapter). It fits the bill for a wickedly bright light needed for those low light trail excursions. The multi-level output is great for my needs, as low works great for twilight / sunset - so others can see me. Mid (low/Med and med/Hi) works great as the twilight goes to night. The switch is stable and doesn't trigger even on the rockiest trails.
I've ridden with this light out on the trails in the South Bay where there
are no lights. With this baby running in HI/Mid (the highest output setting before rotating to the 215 lumens), a nice corona (the light on the sides of the main beam) is full and consistent, without a center dead spot like so many other LED lights produce. You can see everything in front of you if you are traveling less then 20 mph.
