Tools and Hardware Reviews of Fenix TK11 Q5 LED Flashlight Black Aluminum BodyCustomer Review: Great LED flashlight.... Summary: 5 Stars
Although made in China (just like SureFires...) this is a very well built LED flashlight. Very rugged and durable. Shoots a beam at least a mile away. Good for defensive blinding in the dark if needed. The rechargeable battery will give you 3-4 hours of high power run time. The only flashlights made in the USA anymore are the MagLights, and they're LED flashlights are also very good, especially if you are looking for a full size D-cell light. I would compare the Fenix lights with SureFires any day. They are the same quality lights. It really makes you wonder why SureFires cost two or three times as much. The TK-11 has a smooth reflector, whereas the TK-10 has an "orange peel" textured reflector. The smooth reflector projects a sharper beam if that's what you're looking for.
Customer Review: Great quality and Performance Summary: 5 Stars
This is a quality Unit that belies that its made in China. If from the US or Germany this Light would probably cost 3X the price.. Very satisfied. If you need a small Light that is as bright as larger units, this the one for you. I was worried when I realized I had ordered a product made in China but Trust me, This little Torch is feels like BMW all over and a real pleasure to work with. A Score.
Customer Review: Impressive flashlight Summary: 5 Stars
The Fenix TK11 Q5 LED Flashlight is excellent. You will not find and Surefire, Streamlight, Coast or store brand (ex. Orvis) like it in stores. It is about as bright as a car's bright headlight at night yet is a handheld device, and the light is slightly more concentrated. The quality/makemanship is sturdy and it is waterproof. The specified battery last times are correct (ie 2-3 hr at 240 lumens and 11 hr at 90 lumens). I will use it for home safety, emergencies and outdoors. I will also purchase other Fenix flashlight models in the future.
Customer Review: My new EDC light Summary: 5 Stars
I have been carrying this light every day since I bought it at the end of 2008. It's not too heavy on my belt, it's bright and runs for a fair amount of time on 1x18650 battery (Tenergy protected cell), though it goes out of regulation faster than using 2xcr123.
The two modes are both useful for their own purposes, but I generally carry in high mode with the tail cap unscrewed a quarter turn so the switch is locked out. When I go hiking I carry cr123 batteries as a backup.
The only negative is that it's hard to get the light out of the sheath. The heat sink rings are the cause. It takes two hands sometimes.
Customer Review: Pocket full of sunshine Summary: 5 Stars
This light is ultra bright. I take it with me everywhere I go and also on my morning runs. I sweat like a beast and so far that has not had any effect on this light when I run with it in my hand. This light is made to blind someone it is a tactical light and its meant to BLIND someone, which it does because like an idiot I looked at it and turned it on while shining at a mirror. And my night vision was destroyed for several minutes. Plus it hurt. Anyway this light is great.
