it is a really nice safe.you enter a code in the keyboard then you turn the key to open it. alot of people dont like that you have to turn a key and type in a code but i do. it is really spacious inside i love that it comes with an extra shelf to put more stuff on. you would want to bolt it to the ground if you dont want it carried away (pretty light). but i do have a complaint its light doesnt help at all but overall its a good safeCustomer Review: safe box

It seem good but not what i wanted due to the fact that i have a safe box already and was comparing it, to my safe box. It's good for the price and i have no problem with the box at all. It's good for a person starting to use it with a few valuable items. The reason why I say it's not what i was hoping fr it's that it's not as heavy as i wanted it to be. One person can carry the safe out but if you don't have problems with having someone tsake it and you just want it for someone in the house not to go thru your things it's pretty good.Customer Review: safe works great, only a few flaws

I bought this safe to go with another safe that i had purchased. This safe is strong and works well. It has plenty of room to store small range items. it is exceptionable in california as a gun safe, which you need in order to purchase one. The beeping noise that can be heard when you press one of the key pad buttons is loud and annoying. Im not sure if there is a way to turn it to silent. havent figured that out yet. Also the use of a key rather then a handle to open the safe is a horrible idea. there is no handle on the safe at all so you are forced to hold on to the key to open it. you are given 3 keys, two do not open it except when the correct number is inputted into the keypad, the third is used to override the keypad, incase you forget you password or the batteries die. it does not drain batteries very fast which is a plus. i use the safe quite frequently and have not had to replace the batteries yet, and ive had it for a year. my last complaint with the safe is that it comes with mounting bolts to attach it to a shelf or desk. i wanted it for a closet, so i was forced to go buy the right mounting bolts. over all a good safe for the price.Customer Review: saftey dance

This safe isnt going to stop James Bond from getting to your plans for world domination but if properly mounted to a cabinet or shelf it's plenty sturdy enough to foil a grab-and-dash thug or keep your handguns out of the hands of children. If quick access is a concern (one never knows when evil ninjas will attack) the override key is a snap. Otherwise the code and entry key is quick and straight forward.
One cubic foot is roomy enough to secure Grandma's priceless tea set while you are on vacation and the removeable shelf is very handy.
If you dabble in diamonds this isnt the safe for you but if you want 500 dollars worth of peace of mind for 100 bucks, you got it.
