This lockbox is just what I was looking for. I use it to keep my strong narcotic medication out of the reach of others and don't have to worry about anyone being able to break into it easily since the medication is dangerous. The digital keylock pad is so much easier than having to worry about hiding a key and retrieving it everytime I need to get into the box,but I like the fact that I have a key as well. Since the box is fireproof I keep paperwork that I would need in case of an emergancy where I would either have to gather them quickly or the steel would protect them from fire,water or weather damage. The papers are nice and safe under the sturdy foam pad that came from the box.
The only complaint that I can think of would be the weight of the box,but there is no way around that considering the steel is what is providing the security!

I use this box for keeping handy "minor" items like my file drawer key, etc. I wouldn't characterize it as a very "safe" box for valuables, but for my purposes of keeping out inquisitive kids and nosey babysitters it's fine. The knob is made of plastic, the locking tab is a pretty thin piece of metal. I read another reviewer's difficulty programming the electronic lock -- that may be because the printed pamphlet instructions were incorrect it seemed. It directed the user to input the code then wait a few seconds, when in fact the proper directions (printed on a sticker on the underside of the lid) indicated you input the code twice in a row.Customer Review: Amazingly convenient

We use this safe to keep pills away from the children. It is amazingly convenient, although I had a difficult time setting the combination because I did not realize you had to enter it twice to set it. D'oh! Well worth the money. There are keys that bypass the combination if you forget the combination or the battery runs out.Customer Review: An Unlockable electronic Lock. Go figure.

I have had this object for several weeks and no matter what I do the dratted thing will lock only with a key. The digital function doesn't function. I'm very sorry I bought it. It has some potential as a fireresistant unlockable box but ... Don't bother.Customer Review: Basic, does the trick

The safe is designed as a low security lockbox, it does the trick as long as your expections are not too high. It is very light and easy to mount to a table or drawer. Works well as a cash box.
