I bought this strictly to transport my gun legally in the car. It's great for that, big enough to hold two medium sized handguns (depending on what you carry). I wouldn't depend on this to keep a loaded gun out of a child's hands or anything, but for what I bought it for it's a pretty nice sturdy little box at a reasonable price.Customer Review: Great for locking up stuff

My wife is an ex-drug user so we use this to keep pills in. The keys stay hidden, and the five digit combination is more than sufficient. I don't know what anybody else wants locked up, but the great thing about this safe is that you can leave it in plain sight and easily access it without having to dig up a key. Performance of the keypad is flawless, and the led fades when the battery runs low and needs replacing. This indication is especially useful because we use the safe every day
