I have a kitchen in my law office and it has a gas range in it. So I wanted an alarm that would not only detect smoke but also carbon monoxide (wanted to kill 2 birds with 1 alarm so to speak). So far seems like a great product, and only went off once when some food burned in the kitchen. Insert warns that after 5 years the sensor on the CO detector is not effective, so keep this in mind!
