I use wood to heat my house and have been using a huge 10lb super splitting axe for years. I was very reluctant to try this, as I felt it was a little expensive and too light, however, after using it for several days I'm sold! I comes very sharp and I like the weight distribution. The light handle with the 4lb head seems to be perfectly balanced for splitting wood. It comes with a lifetime guarantee so go ahead and give it at try...I don't think you will be disappointed.
