Customer Review: Does the job - but beware the packaging!

This is a great, sturdy posthole digger. However, I think next time, I'd buy something like this from my neighborhood hardware store: it came in a box the size of a bike box and had about a half a mile of butcher paper around it. It took a couple of weeks for the recycling guys to haul all the packaging waste off!

All welded, unique handle profile allows for easier and deeper digging. Offset handles for less interference. Lets you dig up to 12" deeper than other brands. No external hardware to worry about - steel pivot is welded directly to the handle.The Fiskars post hole digger features a unique handle profile that prevents you from banging your knuckles together when digging holes. The offset handles allow you to dig a full foot deeper than standard post hole diggers (up to 4-feet deep), while its all-steel construction lets you tackle the tough jobs. Pre-sharpened to cut through the ground easier, the unit's blades are welded directly to the shaft for additional strength, and the entire tool is powder-coated to prevent rust.
