I can't say enough good things about this product. It is unique in design and the easiest post hole digger I've ever used, and I'm 65 years old. I bought one several years ago a local big box store and put it to hard use planting trees, posts, anything that needed a hole in hard packed, rocky, Georgia clay. It cuts through roots an inch think. I finally mangaged to break the weld on the hinge. I didn't have the reciept and forgot it was a lifetime product and the store I took it back to no longer carried the brand. They substitued their own brand that was somewhat similar, but after using it once, I looked online and just ordered another from Amazon. It is worth "eating" the cost because the Fiskars is so superior and so much easier to use to break up the ground and to did deep narrow holes for posts.
