Ties hang easily on this hanger, but are hidden. Rack must be pulled out of hte closet to see all ties on the rack. Outside of not being able to quickly see/grab a tie, product was nice storage for my ties.Customer Review: Depends on what you want

My girlfriend got me this from a dept. store. I pretended like I liked it, but c'mon. First impression upon seeing this thing, "How will I know what tie is where?". I tried it, but I might as well of hung all my ties on a coat hanger, its about as organized and easy to find a specific tie. I have to take the thing out of the closet and weed through it because the ties are so close togather and on top of eachother. It might be good for travel, or for ties you don't want to get rid of but don't use often "holiday etc". If you want a functional tie rack without the motors get the wodden coat hanger version with knobs on it. That thing works great. People complain about their ties falling off, but if you hang them so the wider part has less slack the weight distributes.Customer Review: Difficult to hang ties

Its a tie rack and it doesn't work. How hard is it to design a tie rack? The problem is this is supposed to hold 24 ties and it can only hold about 8. The design has 2 rows of posts per side and the way a tie rack works is you loop part of the tie around the post and it just hangs like that. That way you see the entire tie that is on the lowest post and a portion of all the ties on the posts above it. The problem is that there isn't enough room between the two rows of 6 posts to fit more than a few ties. If they would of spaced out the posts enough to fit the ties it would be great, obviously this company never bothered to actually test their product. I just got this today and have never been more irratated at a product in my life. The one thing its supposed to do it doesn't.Customer Review: Excellent Price, Works Well

This works as described as a tie hanger. I don't think that it would work for scarves, but for ties it functions well.
