The unit is noisy. Not just operation noise from the motor and fan but also internal rattles denoting poor construction and choice of materials. There are polystyrene baffles inside that could be responsible for some of this noise. I am considering opening it up to try to detect and rectify the rattles and vibration problems.
The remote, timer for on and off, economy function, and appearance are all good.

I bought this for my sister's house. This was the only air conditioner we could find that would fit in their small window. Very small and compact yet it still cools the living room, dinning room and kitchen. Not as loud as described in other reviews. Very good product.Customer Review: WARNING! This is a great little unit. It keeps a small room cold during the summer. The only gripe I have is that the listed dimensions are incorrect! The width is 16", not 15.5"! I'm trying to find a unit that can fit into a narrow window; this unit, unfortunately, is a half-inch too big.Customer Review: Works Great!
