This dehumidifier works very well and has many good add ons. One add on I really like is that the water bucket has it's own handle to carry it for dumping. It also removes more than 50 pints of water from the air each day, amazing ! Well worth buying ! Who knew there was so much dihydrogen monoxide in the air?! Unit works as advertised, and then some. No advanced engineering degree needed to remove and reinsert the collection bucket. Casters exceed stringent Soap Box Derby specs. Unit is much quieter than a Category IV hurricane. Bonus: The white color blends in nicely with any surrounding snowscape. Caveat: Do not attempt to place in dishwasher.Customer Review: Do this to empty water

Buy a condensate pump and hook it up to your drain pan i did this at my moms house and it works perfect. I got the pump from amazon.com and i am an HVAC tech so i know this does work they are used all the time for houses.
use a few clear rubber hoses and a small fitting then run hose to a drain

The dehumidifier is simple to use out of the box and appears to be working as expected after one month of continuous operation. It dried our basement quickly and has kept it that way rather quietly. I'm glad I read the Amazon reviews before purchasing a dehumidifier, since there was a dramatic difference in positive opinions presented by Frigidaire owners and the negative opinions of competitively priced Haier, LG and Zenith models.
The price for the unit I purchased at Amazon was less expensive by $45 (which included $0 shipping) than the same unit priced at Lowes.
