This is a fantastic unit/and the unpacking and Operating DIRECTIONS are very, very 'SENIOR user' friendly - as well as the portability and movement of the unit on carpet.
Ran Lrm 1st 6 hrs - / then bdrm for 2 hrs - both times it reduced relative humidity by OVER 25% - in each room - and still reducing even more as so much already removed - Have a gauge that came w/a Humidfier yrs ago -

We are in the 'Air U can wear' season here in South [according to favorite WDBJ7 Weather Experts]
Had mowed 2/3 of 2 big lawns Thurs am - awoke Friday and no excuses for not finishing as NOT ONE nasty DAILY ache/pain [arthitis in spine] as had been happening past 3 seasons.
Removing and emptying the bucket a zero problem - not at all flimsy - convenient handle and we take to tub and pour into mty one gallon ice cream pails for watering container plants. One can just as easily open door and take container directly to plants if they are convenient.
After just 19 of total 48 hours of running this unit we have removed over 6 + GALLONS of water from the air - Do not use A/C - too many years of cooped up in offices. Adds only 3 to 4 kWh to normal 24hr usage of 8 - way less than a load of laundry.
Did use this as extra surge protection when storms approach - in that case we go ALL unplugged anyway

It does generate some dry warmth - but placing by exterior door w/fan on floor blowing twds the door solves this problem. And it is a noticeble improvement in carpeted rooms - vacuum now moves so much more smoothly - so no excuses here / time to finish that -

Some leaks in our basement had created some really high humidity conditions.We got the leaks repaired but some "mold" had started to develop in the damp conditions.
When this unit arrived,I read the instructions,unpacked it,and started the unit in the middle if our 2400 square foot basement.I didn't bother to set up the unit to drain directly so I could measure the amount of water it was collecting.
It was right on the "50-pint" mark and we could feel the difference in the basement after the first day.We had the high humidity conditions controlled after the first week and now run the unit to maintain 45-50% relative humidity.
This unit works great for our needs. It is relatively quiet, looks good, and gets the job done!

I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this dehumidifier. Even this one had bad reviews, but a lot of good ones too. So, I decided to give it a try. I put it in my 1800 sq ft unfinished basement and within two days it brought the humidity level down from 73% to 45%. I then set the display to 45% and the dehumidifier only runs when needed to maintain the desired level. I strongly suggest that if you have a floor drain to hook up a hose and use the continuous drain option because this unit sucks the moisture out of the air. I have used the unit for 5-6 weeks now and I am very happy with it.
