Tools and Hardware Reviews of Frigidaire 70-Pint Dehumidifier

Customer Review: Figidaire 70 Pint Dehumidifier
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an excellent machine...dual speed nice option...dried out my entire basement in no time. Amazon as seller was excellent. The product was delivered to my home 4 days after the order was placed for no extra charge! Thanks Amazon!!! This is my second recent purchase through Amazon and both experiences were stellar.

We were very surprise with how quickly this pulls the moisture out of the room. It was a great investment.

After reviewing advertising claims of many units, which all had pros and cons, I decided on the Frig. It works as claimed, and I am happy with the unit. I like the fact that it has an easy to clean filter, a carrying handle, and a drain hose connection for continuous draining. So far so good.

It is an amazing dehumidifer however I find it difficult, with replacement knees in both legs, to remove the bucket. I just don't have the leverage and must wait for someone to help me. A handle on the outside would be helpful.

This is an excellent purchase. Does a first-rate job of drying out the basement so it's warm, dry, and smells pretty good,as opposed to smelling like a dungeon probably smells. Have two problems with this otherwise nice-looking appliance: it's really hard to get the bucket off to empty it, and
there's NO WAY you can just hook up a hose to it and have it do a continuous run into your laundry
tub. First of all, Frigidaire doesn't supply a hose to fit it, and secondly the one recommended by Amazon for hookup to it is impossible for me (and a handyman I know) to connect. So you have to keep emptying the bucket when it fills. (Although the unit does shut off automatically when full). Apart from these two issues, it's a good little worker.
