2. Unit received by apartment security which did not see front lower right corner damage--resulted in cracked upper right front bezel--I'll take care of this later.
3. All components neatly packaged.
4. Installation instructions short and clear.
5. Too early to tell about use yet--summer is coming and now I'm ready

I purchased this for an open space that has 4 rooms, basically open to each other. I put it in a window( very easy install) that gets little sun during the day, and now that I've begun to need it, I am thrilled. It is fast, cools the entire area, and maintains the temperature I choose perfectly, and cuts the humidity quickly. I was worried about 4 open rooms getting efficient cooling, and I do use a fan to circulate the air further, but this a/c exceeds my expectations.
As for sound, well, it sounds just like and a/c. But clear. No rattling, just the compressor coming on, and it doesn't bother me at all, but I expect an a/c to generate some noise.
I did buy it as an Amazon Prime item, though, and they shipped it to a local carrier who took a week to contact me for delivery. I ordered it early enough in the season and got a great price, so it's not so much a negative.

We are cooling about 600 sq.ft with this unit, and it does it very well. The packaging of this unit is downright ingenious! Very easy to open, not a ton of card board to recycle ands easy to remove. The unit is light enough for a 60 year old guy with a sore back to lift. Other reviewers have written about how noisy this is, and I found they had not exaggerated! To my ears it is not a very disturbing noise, but we do have to turn up the TV a notch!Customer Review: Frigidaire FAC124P1A

It looked like it was returned to Amazon after someone dropped it out of a 2 story window. It was bent, dented, and broken. I sent pictures of it to Amazon when they sent me an e-mail for feedback on the packaging, but have not heard anything back from Amazon. The packaging was very good, so I believe someone bought it, dropped it, repackaged it, and sent it back to Amazon. Amazon apparently did not check it before they resold it. I am very disappointed with Amazon, and wish that this review would allow me to add the pictures of the unit that were already sent to Amazon.Customer Review: Frigidaire FAC124P1A 12,000 air conditioner
