Works very well for firm, medium to large size fruit. Less effective for smaller, softer fruit because of the space between the tines. The foam cushion on the bottom is a nice addition but I don't expect that it will last too long. Easy to attach with the enclosed clamp. Got this for BF, because he is supposed to be in charge of harvesting fruit trees - me the crops. It came in quickly, and exactly as described. The barrel (that holds the pole) is a little bigger than what we had, but with a few quick wraps of duct tape around the pole, fit perfectly. We didn't have problems with it tearing up branches - just used a little caution. Only problem we had was trying to get 2 or more pieces of fruit off at the same time, and some would fly down. User error - not the product. We used it on apples, and if you need something to reach the high ones - this should do the trick beautifully. If we had a bigger orchard - would buy another. Buy the basket and add your own tall stick to create picking with ease and no need to drop ones fruit upon the ground to mash up. I pick avocado, ackee, mangos, star fruit, sweet sop etc. all with ease and no more climbing the trees! Tressa Azpiri, Jamaica, West Indies.
