Customer Review: Fantastic fruit picker Summary: 5 Stars
I have been looking for a fruit picker like this for so long. I am just so thankful I finally found it. It is just great for picking fruit from my pear trees. I am now able to get the pears before the squirrels, birds, and possums and I can take the fruit picker off of the pole and store it for next year. I urge everyone to get a couple of them to pick fruit. This is a great invention!!!!
Customer Review: Fruit & Branch Mangler Summary: 1 Stars
This picker will get the fruit, but it usually gets some of the branch as well and sometimes rips off a whole branch. It pulls the fruit off. If the fruit does not come off easily, which my oranges usually don't, I have to pull hard. When the fruit finally comes loose, the back snap of the branch sometimes causes other oranges to fall to the ground and get bruised or broken. The wire hooks can damage the fruit unless you are very careful.
The wire basket can be difficult to thread through the branches. It is also difficult to grab a single fruit in a cluster.
Get the TwistePicker also available here on Amazon. It beats the wire basket hands down. Read the reviews there before you buy here. Here's the link:

Customer Review: Fruit Picker Review Summary: 5 Stars
This product came as advertised and will do a good job of picking the fruit without damage. The method of attaching it to the pole is also an improvement over the picker I had previously.
Customer Review: Fruit Pickin' Summary: 5 Stars
This is such a terrific old fashioned idea, that does not need to be redesigned! The item comes with a sponge (so ripe fruit will not get bruised when you pick it). Simply attach a broom handle to the end (it comes with an easy to screw - clamp), put up in the tree, and let the top prongs go around the top of the fruit. Give a slight tug, and the fruit drops into the sponge basket. You can pick two or three fruit at a time, before lowering it and emptying it. Simple idea that works great. I bought one for me, then turned around and bought one for my Mom for her lemon tree - this way she can pick a lemon without getting on a ladder, and one for adult daughter.
