BIG BULB!
This one will last me more than the 6 years they say it will last..Can't use it, yet.
The bulb is too big, for the harp on the lamp.
It's going to have to wait, until after the holidays, for me to get a new harp.

The 6.5" is actually just short enough to fit in my lamps. I did have to bend the metal rod away to screw it in but once the bulb was screwed in, it fit and now it works like a charm.
I expected trouble but now that it's working, I can't be happier with them!

They don't work with light dimmers which we have in all rooms. Also don't work with three way lamps. Useless!!Customer Review: Excellent

The bulbs arrived on time and in mint condition as described. If you are looking for CFL light-bulbs to save energy costs these are the perfect bulbs to buy. They are three way. On a side note, they may not work with older lamps! I have older lamps in my house, and the older lamps are not compatible with these CFL lightbulbs. CFL lightbulbs are a new technology, so keep this in mind if you are planning to buy CFL lightbulbs for older lamps. You may have to buy new lamps that work with CFL's.
Solid CFL lightbulbs overall. The light is pleasant.
