Customer Review: Buyer beware...very poor quality

Normally I don't write reviews, but I felt obligated after using this product. After watching the video and reading the directions, I connected one of the 4ft rods to my drill and inserted into my dryer vent duct. After a minute, the rod snapped. Assuming the rod was defective, I used another and connected the other 2 rods. After a few minutes, the rod broke *again* and this time it was deep within the vent duct. It took several hours to fish out remaining pieces, which I promptly took back to the store. Please be aware, the quality of the rods are cheap plastic that can break very easily. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere and avoid the frustration.Customer Review: Check Outside vent

The product worked as advertised, but I didn't have much lint in my system. I did however have a huge blockage where the vent came out of my roof. I removed that by hand, it was like paper mache so the brush didn't help much.Customer Review: Clears the clog

This product was as advertised. I got the kit plus extensions as my dryer vent runs under my house and it turns out to be a 21' run. I had to run through it a number of times to get it all out, but that is probably because I had some shopvac extensions that came off under the house from trying to suck out the accumulation. Dryer now dries a load in 1 cycle or less.
The thing about this is, if you need it,you need it but it isn't something you need every day, week, month. After I cleared things at my house, I shared it with friends and neighbors so it got more use.

My line runs 18 feet and has three 90 degree bends. I was suprised to only get about a gallon of lint after 10 years of use. I didn't expect to see much difference in the dryer operation, but was suprised to find my clothes dried considerably faster. There just wasn't that much lint, but maybe it was constricting the air flow around the 90 degree bends.
I tried using this to clear a gutter downspout, but it would not take the bend at the roof line.

We have a relatively long dryer vent run, ~22ft., and it worked like a charm. We did purchase the extra rods and we used all of them. This had to go around two 90 degree elbows and a long run of solid pipe.
It works just like a powered drain snake that you'd use to clear drains, so you have to keep one hand on the rod so it doesn't get away from you. I didn't use the shop vac while I was snaking the vent, but put the adapter on afterward and blew everything outside. We got a grocery bag full of lint. We don't use our dryer for everything as we line dry in nice weather, but now my wife can sleep at night not having to worry about a vent fire.
Five stars from us!
